Thanks to all of you who attended the meeting! We would like to remember that if some of you cannot participate in the monthly meeting, we expect you to let Anna or
Matheus Zago knows in advance. Unanimously, we agreed that the monthly meetings will be held on the last Friday of each month; therefore the next one will
happen on August 28 th .

1. New members

Thaís Martins and Eric Nogueira were officially welcomed as BRaS members.

 

2. BRaS-Blog

a. Translations
– 15 translations are published/ready to be online. The remaining 11 are all assigned: Matheus Z. (1), Lucas (1), Jayane (2), Giovanna (2), Guilherme
(2), and Matheus H. (1).
– Social media automatization: Matheus Z. informed that blog posts will be automatically published on Facebook and soon on Twitter.
b. Blog ISSN: Jayane informed there is still no answer from the German National Library. She will contact them on August 4 th about the matter.
c. Next posts: by unanimity, it was agreed that all BRaS members must write a blog post about their research topic.
– The word limit is between 1000 and 1200.
– The approach should be scientific but focus on a more accessible language, aiming at bringing academic knowledge and society closer.
– The deadline is August 24 th

 

3. BRaS’ organizational chart

The BRaS’ organizational chart is being designed by Anna, Matheus Z., and Jayane. The first general draft will be presented in the next monthly meeting. In the
meanwhile, temporary activity leaders were chosen: Matheus H. for BRaS Blog and Matheus Z. for BRaS-J.

4. BRaS-Journal

Anna informed about the special meeting that happened on July 20 th in preparation to the work meeting with Prof. Lucas Massimo, which will be held on August 1 st . The
next steps on BRaS-J will be decided after the work meeting.

5. Website

Matheus Z. presented the new BRaS website feature, a knowledge base to store institutional reports  https://www.bras-center.com/wp-content/knowledge-base/). Moreover, he shared the problems with the website servidor. Prof. Thomas and Matheus Z will contact the Würzburg University IT center about hosting BRaS website. As an alternative, Claudia posited the Vienna University as a possibility to host our website.

4. General issues

It is crucial answering emails with opinions and suggestions to enable our activities to move forward. Last but not least, if you have some suggestions about the design of our website, please contact the team by email:
