General Issues

Communication and PR Updates

Claudia Pires presented the group with the latest numbers of BRaS’s social media, mainly showing all the impact of BRaS-Blog articles and posts of other members about BRaS. Best numbers with the interviews and special editions articles.

Luisa Turbino commented on the next steps for BRaS: Social Media Handbook, templates, what the group can do to help to increase the impact. Also, she showed the numbers and engagement regarding the newsletter (increasing number of subscriptions).

Matheus Zago presented an overview on the number of the website; main audience from Brazil and the USA. He highlighted that most of the access comes from links and mentions on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Linktree – Instagram)

Claudia Pires also presented the future events program scheduled for September (a. Soft Opening; b. Dialogue Environment; c. Extension Course; d. Ecofalante). She also invited all the members and asked who would be interested in taking part in those events; Matheus Hebling, Anna Bennech, and Lucas Fraga said they would be interested in participating.

Giovanna Imbernon and Anna Bennech commented on the strategies for the next special editions. Matheus Hebling also commented on the next articles to be published in August. Matheus Zago commented on the issue of “average time spent” and the impact on the numbers. It was pointed out that all contributions are welcome.

Luisa Turbino suggested adding an audio file to the article for more accessibility and to try to increase engagement. Some questions on the logistics about how to add the audio to the post were raised.

Matheus Zago informed that there are going to publish the call for the 2nd Ed and asked all members to help to share the call on social media.

• Research Groups

Luisa Turbino commented on the issues to continue with the works of the Gender RG, highlighting that due to the enormous amount of work Luisa and Anna decided to postpone the activities to next year.

Matheus Zago presented and commented on the RG page he has been building together with Jayane Maia.

General Issues

Lucas Fraga commented on the financial handbook that will soon be presented.

Matheus Hebling called attention to the new submission to the Academic Committee of Professor Doctor Paulo Henrique Martinez (UNESP). Regarding this topic, the members decided that an email should be sent to the candidate and the voting and discussions between the board will proceed by email.
