General Issues

Claudia Pires told the members a bit of what is going on with the social media RG. Some members will participate in Congresso Internacional de Neuro Direito to talk about fake news at a University from Paraná and were also invited to a project of Agência Lupa (Member of the IFCN – International Fact-Checking Network) to analyses some of Bolsonaro’s speeches online.

She also informed that the Soft Opening is confirmed, and the events will start on September 14. Considering gender equality, BRaS’s efforts to provide equal opportunities and the lack of availability of some of the women invited to participate, only the female BRaS members were invited to present at the session.

For last, Matheus Zago requested all members to vote for including or not a “Events/Calendar Page” on BRaS’s website. People will have access to the events relevant to BRaS (organized by the committee, members participating, etc). Luisa Turbino and other members commented that this can be helpful to present to the audience more information about them, links, the “add to the calendar” option, etc. The members voted and approved unanimously to include the section.

Next meeting: Waiting for members to vote.
