General Issues
- New Member Application:
- All members received an e-mail with the CV and proposal of a new member, Dr. Fabiana Mariutti, and sent on March 22. According to the last monthly meeting, the committee should discuss the issues, proposals, or any matter regarding the application at April’s Monthly meeting.
Luíza Cerioli asked what the applicant’s intention would be in taking part in the committee and if she is interested in any particular area/ position.
Matheus Hebling commented that she would be interested in funding and projects and added that this is an area that BRaS needs to improve and help with.
Claudia Pires pointed out that she has experience with funding applications.
The group discussed and decided to first evaluate internally and consult the members responsible, for then think about appointing her to the position or open to the public.
C&PR and BRaS-Blog Updates
Claudia Pires presented the group with an overview of the numbers of BRaS’s website and BRaS-Blog for this month. She also commented a bit about the virtual event BRaS is doing this month “Diálogos – 90 anos de Paul Singer” that both C&PR and Virtual Events departments are in charge of.
Regarding the IT report, Claudia Pires and Matheus Hebling commented on the numbers and the projects. The members also commented on the strategies BRaS can adopt to increase access and readers.
Regarding BRaS-Blog, Matheus Hebling give the committee some updates on the next articles to be published soon and communicated that he will be off from his position for a while.
Regarding this issue, the group commented on the editing and translation processes and Giovanna Imbernon and Luíza Cerioli said they could help. However, the group did not come to a decision regarding it.
Other updates
The committee asked to call a general RG meeting and Matheus Helbling said he would email everyone with the invitation.
Regarding the Annual Report issue and according to the comments on the last meeting, Giovanna Imbernon will email all members with the template and guidelines so all departments and areas could provide the information needed, as well as the date expected to deliver it.
